This is definitely a compelling drama! Sissy Spacek gives the performance of a lifetime as Ruth Fowler. The screenplay is powerful. Tom Wilkinson and Marisa Tomei excel in their roles within this “Best Picture” nominee. This is a brilliant adaptation of the story “Killings” by Andre Dubus.
Verdict
This film reveals how a son reaching adulthood can shake a family to its core.
