Sometimes when people are in love, they share common interests. Unfortunately, sometimes those interests could be vices. For the most part, alcohol is a poisonous, but people still consume it in real life. Within the cinematic world, alcohol consumption could look glamorous. One of the most (in)famous examples is Days of Wine and Roses.
A Toast!
First of all, the title song definitely deserved the Oscar. Not only is that song beautiful, but the plot is a uniquely unconventional love story. Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick star in this highly original drama, and earned Academy Award nominations for playing a romantic couple. Since this film is a love story, it obviously features beautiful production design and sumptuous costumes. This film really is an amazing romantic drama!

This film is very appropriate for MovieBoozer because of how alcohol directly impacts the plot!
