“Hit Me” begins softly but pivots to another level before going back to its soft beginnings. Still, you know it’s going to an even higher, louder musical level, which it does. The results are winners as “Hit Me” hits you hard in the gut and you’re gonna love it. The musicianship is first rate, production-wise the recording is mixed beautifully, and the vocals are mesmerizing. The song’s deeper meaning will strike a nerve for some but for the rest, “Hit Me” will sound like rock and roll solid gold.
