The winner of three Academy Awards, this is definitely an epic historical drama! In fact, Denzel Washington earned the Golden Globe and the Academy Award for his supporting role. Furthermore, the production design and cinematography bring that turbulent time in American history to life on-screen. Finally, this film is a major accomplishment from Edward Zwick.
Verdict
Edward Zwick might have won an Oscar for co-producing the highly controversial film Shakespeare in Love, but Glory proves that all is fair in love and war.
