And Do Not Be Sober: because this film is a lot like the implications of the title for Fatal Attraction, starring Glenn Close.

First of all, this film is not about the famed painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Instead it is a complex crime drama with a hint of romance. The film might have simply borrowed its title from a 1950’s song, but the emotional tension makes the film very compelling. This complex film is appropriately entitled, Mona Lisa because it is as beguiling as what could be the world’s greatest painting.
A Toast!
Bob Hoskins delivers one of his best performances in this film. He might be well-known for playing Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but his acting in this film is amazing. Furthermore, Cathy Tyson and Michael Caine both excel in their supporting roles. The screenplay is definitely original because it redefines what a love story could be.

Obviously, the film could be tough to watch given the subject matter, but there will be no major spoilers in this review.
Verdict
Mona Lisa Smile (2003) might be comedic, but this film offers a dramatic narrative while using a similar title.
