Writing is undeniably power. There is even the famous expression, “The pen is mightier than the sword.” Given the power of language, compelling words oftentimes result in powerful films. One of the best examples is Written on the Wind.
A Toast!
First of all, this film has amazing performances. In fact, Dorothy Malone won an Oscar for her supporting role. Not only that, but the Academy also recognized Robert Stack with a nomination. Besides the phenomenal acting, the film features an amazing title song. It is fortunate that Robert Wilder wrote the original novel of this amazing film!
Beer Two
Unfortunately, this film directly deals with controversial topics that somewhat scandalized 1950s America.

Never underestimate the power of the written word!
