Superman is a popular superhero. Indeed, this character is timeless. As theater and drama became more modern, contemporary writers delved deep into what it means to be a man. In fact, one of the best examples of this is Man and Superman by George Bernard Shaw.
A Toast!
First of all, Peter O’Toole is brilliant as “Jack Tanner.” Furthermore, the film explores touchy subject matters while also keeping the plot “PG” or “PG-13”-ish. Additionally, the film embodies an idea that Shaw conceived entitled, “life force.”
Verdict
Finally, this film involves much more than a man saving the day!
