Marilyn Monroe remains an iconic film star. She is indelibly etched into pop culture because of her sex appeal. Even though she starred in some of the greatest comedies of all time, she could also play dramatic parts. One example is the romantic dramedy Bus Stop.
A Toast!
Based on the stage play by William Inge, this is a passionate romance. Indeed, the themes of love and expressions of affection are very compelling. Not only that, but Don Murray also received an Oscar nomination for his supporting role as Beauregard ‘Bo’ Decker. However, the real star is Marilyn Monroe as she brings Inge’s Chérie to the screen.

Unfortunately, the basic and not terribly well aged plot could offend some proud feminists.
