One of the elements of a great film is a compelling script. Indeed, a narrative must transcend the written page to making a lasting impression on the screen. One of the best films that has done that is Here Comes Mr. Jordan (1941).

This film is the result of an Oscar-winning screenplay. Furthermore, the film features incredible acting from Robert Montgomery and James Gleason. Finally, there is a unique aestheticism associated with this film because of how the camera movements bring the well-written script to life. This film is definitely a crowning achievement for director Alexander Hall.

Mr. Jordan is coming!
