Despite his assassination, Caesar has left an enduring legacy upon the world. William Shakespeare oftentimes dramatized history, and Julius Caesar remains one of the best plays ever written.

History becomes alive in this brilliant Shakespearean adaptation! The U.K. talent in this film is phenomenal, and the BBC really knows how to honor the Bard. Charles Gray is brilliant as the eponymous Julius Caesar, and this TV production does justice to both the Shakespeare play and Roman history. Despite what happened in the Ides of March, Julius Caesar continues to reign supreme.
