History can educate people about fundamental facts of life. There are many choices in life, but everything is really a matter of selection. Some people are bad, but wickedness really is a decision rather than a circumstance. That is one of the main ideas of William Shakespeare’s historical drama Richard III.

This BBC production reigns supreme (pun intended). This TV adaptation brilliantly portrays the sovereign Richard III while honoring real-world history and the Bard’s interpretation of him. The play effective deals with how evil might seem tempting even though people must resist it. This film also reveals the power of language through Shakespeare’s poetic rhetoric. The play showcases what it means to be a true ruler.
Verdict
