La La Land (2016) reveals the reality of the entertainment business. In fact, the real world is never a Hollywood musical. Nevertheless, entertainment about entertainment can be very compelling. That is why The Entertainer is such a fascinating film.

First of all, Laurence Olivier definitely deserved his Academy Award nomination for this film. This film adaptation is a thoughtful depiction of corruption and decadence. Overall, it is a brilliant adaptation of the play by John Osborne.
