Bette Davis was within a league of her own. Her performances have garnered several awards and nominations. In fact, she was a starlet even during the early stages of her career. One of her greatest performances was her leading role in The Letter.
A Toast!
First of all, Bette Davis delivers a powerful performance in this film. Furthermore, the film delves deep into the nature of violence. Finally, this film is a major achievement from director William Wyler.
