First of all, developing friendships is part of life. In fact, there is the notion that some friendships do last forever. Interesting, some bonds between people are not exactly conventional. For example, Gigot presents a very original story that redefines what it means to have a friend.
A Toast!
Overall, this film is very heartwarming. Furthermore, the film earned an Oscar nomination for its score. Additionally, Jackie Gleason contributed to the development of the unique plot, and earned a Golden Globe nomination for his leading performance.

Unfortunately, this film does feature some content that might not suit all audiences (but this review will not spoil that).
Verdict
Just like the famous Aladdin song, Gigot never really had a friend like Nicole!
