The Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman college admissions scandal shook the modern world. Seriously, nobody knew that two of the greatest actresses within modern times would commit the scandal of a lifetime. Ironically, sometimes college students could get into serious trouble, and not just academically. That was the case for Billy Hayes, and his story unfolded on the silver screen in Midnight Express.
A Toast!
The recipient of two Academy Awards, this is a compelling biographical crime drama. In fact, Oliver Stone’s screenplay practically and (maybe even) perfectly captures the infamy associated with Billy Hayes. Furthermore, the film features incredible acting from Brad Davis, Irene Miracle, and John Hurt. Additionally, the score that Giorgio Moroder composed is one of the best of the best. Finally, this is one of the best films that Alan Parker ever directed.
