Typical romances involve falling in love. Nevertheless, sometimes affairs can be so passionate that they could actually be erotic. Hollywood has also made attempts to bring such love stories to the silver screen. One of the most (in)famous is Room at the Top.
A Toast!
First of all, the acting in this film is incredible. Hermione Baddeley excels in her supporting role before playing the maid Ellen in Mary Poppins. The real star of this film, though, is Simone Signoret in her Oscar-winning leading role. Not only is the acting great, but the screenplay is a cinematic miracle, especially since this film is very mature.
