Despite the naughty innuendo associated with the title, this film is a compelling crime drama. The Untouchables brings Al Capone to life while presenting life during the Prohibition era in American history.
A Toast!
Sean Connery delivers an amazing performance as Jim Malone. The production design and costumes beautifully capture life during the Jazz Age. Ennio Morricone composed a score to intensify the dramatic tension of what really is “untouchable.”

Obviously, since this film biographically depicts the life of Al Capone, it is gratuitously bloody, violent, and profane.
Verdict
“U Can’t Touch This” might be a song by HAMMER, but The Untouchables is a testament to the enduring legacy of Al Capone.
