Heist films are oftentimes dramatic, but they can sometimes bend genres. A comedy does not necessarily need to be conventional to be funny. That is why A Fish Called Wanda is a unique comedy.

John Cleese and Charles Crichton wrote a highly original screenplay. Kevin Kline definitely earned his Academy Award for his supporting role as Otto. The film is hilariously risqué.
Verdict
Some films that are intentionally for both adults and children include Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid. However, A Fish Called Wanda is a marine-based film strictly for adults.
